Rules & Regulations

Hello everyone!

As we all know the last event started with some controversy. This year we hope to do away with such problems by posting the rules on the blog early.

CONGKAK (6 August)

1. Each house can and/or should send four (4) players (two male and two females) for the competition.

2. The competition will be played out in the knockout format. There will be two categories, male and female.

3. The game will be played in only one frame. The winner will be the one with the most number of marbles in his or her "rumah".

4. The winners of the two semi-final games will face each other for first and second place, and the losers of the two semi-final games will face each other for third and fourth placing.

BOWLING (9 August)

5. Each house can and/or should submit four (4) teams (two mal teams and two female teams in the competition.

6. Each team should consist of two (2) players.

7. The competition will be played out in knockout format.

8. The game will be played in one frame. The winner is the pair with the highest score.

9. The winners of the two semi-final games will face each other for first and second place, and the losers of the two semi-final games will face each other for third and fourth placing.

SNOOKER (13 August)

10. Each house can and/or should submit two teams in the competition.

11. Each team should consist of two (2) players.

12. The competition will be played out in knockout format.

13. The game will be played in one frame. The winner is the pair with the highest score.

14. The winners of the two semi-final games will face each other for first and second place, and the losers of the two semi-final games will face each other for third and fourth placing.

FUTSAL (10 August)

1. Each house can and/or should submit two teams in the competition.

2. Each team should consist of eight (8) players, including substitutes.

3. The competition will be played out in knockout format.

4. The winners of the two semi-final games will face each other for first and second place, and the losers of the two semi-final games will face each other for third and fourth placing.

5. Teams that include female players in the game will get an advantage of two (2) goal provided that.

a. At least one female players is included in the starting line-up, and

b. At least one female player must be in the court throughout the game.

c. If the team at any time do not have at least one female players on the court, the advantage would be forfeited.

6. The game will be played in two halves of 3 (three) minutes each.

7. If after the end of the regulation time, the score is tied, the winner will be determined through penalty shoot out, as below,

a. First shootout will be three penalty kicks for each team. The team that start the kick-off will be at the discretion of the referee

b. If after three kicks, the score is still tied, the winner will be determined by sudden death penalty.

8. All other rules apply, as determined by the referee.

9. Points will be awarded only to the top four finishers.

PUZZLE (14 August)

1. Each house can and/or should submit two teams in the competition.

2. Each team should consist of five (5) players. Each team must be a mixed group, not female or male only group.

3. Each team must ensure that their members have not participated in three other games. Teams will be disqualified if they breach this rule.

4. Winners are determined by the earliest completed puzzle within the timeframe of 60 minutes.

5. In the case of none of the teams managed to complete the puzzle, the winner will be the team with the fewest number of puzzle pieces left incompleted.

BADMINTON (17 August)

1. Each house can and/or should submit four (4) teams (two male in the competition.

2. Each team should consist of two (2) players.

3. The competition will be played out in knockout format.

4. The game will be played in one frame. The winner is the pair with the highest score.

5. The winners of the two semi-final games will face each other for first and second place, and the losers of the two semi-final games will face each other for third and fourth placing.

VOLLEYBALL (21 August)

1. Each house can send one team to the competition.

2. Each team should consist of six (6) players, plus four (4) substitutes

3. The competition will be played out in knockout format.

4. Game will be played in two sets, with 21 points (Table tennis style)

5. In case of a tie, the winner will be determined in a rubber game.

6. Execution of the Service:

a. For Women: Rotation is not compulsory. The same player can execute the service throughout the whole game.

b. For Men: Rotation is compulsory.

c. Service: Service is fault when the ball hit the net.

SCHEDULE

Match 1: Team 1 vs. Team 2

Match 2: Team 3 vs. Team 4

Winners from each match, go to the final.

COURT

Two courts.

UMPIRE

Two (2) umpires. One for each category (Men/Women).

TABLE TENNIS (22 August)

1. The competition will be played in the male double, male single and female double event.

2. Each house can and/or should submit two teams/players for each event.

3. The competition will be played out in the knockout format.

4. Scoring will be twenty-one (21) for the male double and male single, and eleven (11) points for the female double.

5. Each game will be played out in only one set. Winner of each game will move on to the next round

6. Game will be cancelled or disqualified if the contestants breach the regular rules as stipulated by appointed umpires, such as.

a. using badminton or tennis racquet, or other implements such as frying pan covers, whether big or small.

b. using other than ping pong balls such as golf ball, tennis ball, hockey ball or even fish ball.

7. The arrangement ofthe opponents will be determined by the appointed committee through votes, pulled by the team captains.

8. All judgement are final and any complaints will not be entertained by the appointed table tennis committee: Azahar, Rizwan, Mizie and Awin.

SCRABBLE (24August)

Each house can and/or should submit two teams in the competition. Each team must consist of two (2) players.

CARROM (27 August)

Each house can and/or should submit two teams in the competition.

Each team should consist of two (2) players, including substitutes.

DART (28 August)

Each house can and/or should submit two players in the competition.

FOOSBALL (4 Sept)

Each house can and/or should submit two teams in the competition.

Each team should consist of two (2) players, including substitutes.

SUDOKU (5 Sept)

Each house can and/or should submit 4 players in the competition.

TREASURE HUNT (7 Sept)

Each house can and/or should submit two teams in the competition.

Each team should consist of four (4) players, including substitutes.

NASYID (12 Sept)

Each house can and/or should submit two teams in the competition.

Each team should consist of minimum one (1) singer.
